We are getting ready to start out Community Garden Project.  We currently have two organizations who have jumped on board.  We have the Coloma Elementry School, and the Benton Harbor Teen Center and the Youth in Government.  I am excited to start this project and teach the skills of Gardening to a new generation.  I grew up in small town Nebraska and we grew all of our own food.  We canned, froze, and dehydrated the majority of out food.  I am going to teach these skills to those who are interested in my community.  I urge you to do the same in your community as well.  With the growing cost of food this is going to be a necessary step in helping to not only save money, but a necessary way to cut down on fuel costs, and help the world with the food shortages.  We plan on donating the excess vegetables to the local food banks.  Please check us out at www.therecyclebin.org  If you are in the southwest Michigan area and would like to participate please let me know.
